We invite you to the region of Mazuria

Agroturystyka Mazury

We invite you to visit our agrotourism, which is situated in the vicinity of the River Drwęca Valley (600m far from the river) in the village of Idzbark, belonging to the Ostróda Commune Council.

Picturesque landscape and unspoiled forests (including rare species of the Tabor Pine tree) are the main asset of our farm, which is situated in the immediate environs of four lakes: Ostrowin - 2km, Szelag Maly and Szelag Wielki 3km, Selment -5km. The farm host, Mr Dzidzicki, is an enthusiastic tour guide of the region of Mazuria, both in terms of its history and richness of nature. For instance,  he can provide you with interesting facts concerning one of the greatest battles of the Middle Ages - the Battle of Grunwald, at which the forces of the Teutonic Knights met a combined force of Poles and Lithuanians; or the bloodcurdling events from the Second World War of Adolf Hitler's concrete bunkers called 'Wolf's Lair', which is in Gierloz east of Ketrzyn. Another attraction might be a guided tour to the Skansen museum in Olsztynek, where original living conditions of the former rural inhabitants  were preserved.

The farm host is a keen sailor owning a sailing license. He is eager to share his hobby with the guests by offering them a scenic cruise in the cabin yacht round the surrounding lakes or along the Elblag Canal. The hosts' daughter, Marta, is a caring and affectionate childminder, who is willing to look after your child(ren) if the necessity arises. All visitors are welcome to our agrotourism. Those who prefer peace and quiet as well as those who seek entertainment and active rest will find here a great deal of opportunities to unwind. Those who are not fit enough can rely on the hostess assistance including performing simple tasks or even nursing.
